My photography journey started when I was 17 with my mom’s Olympus film camera.

What began as curiosity quickly grew into a passion. Back then I only had a set number of shots per film, so I had to be careful and selective on how I used it. I learned to look for the shot I wanted, and then take it. The limitations at that time helped me to truly understand what to look for to capture the perfect shot. I didn’t have hundreds of digital files to comb through when I got back home to my computer. Instead, film photography demanded precision and intent. Years later, even as technology has grown more sophisticated, I approach my work with the same drive to find that perfect shot.
